The Happy Hour debuted November 16th,
2006 on Internet
radio station Live995. The reasoning behind the name is that it was originally
the name for a one hour music show which included very limited talk elements,
and instead of taking the time to think up a new name the lazy ass that is Jon
decided to keep the name reguardless the fact that
the show was happy or an hour. As the shows progressed there was an overall
increase of production value as well as an actual focus on making it a
talk/call-in show and an attitude change for the host. Following shows also
allowed many bits to debut such as IP Relay Calls, Myspace
Slob of the Week, and the Worst of YouTube. After the first show a search for a co-host
began, during this search many different people sat in, and as of this writing
no permanent co-host has been selected.

The Staten
Island, NY
native grew up wanting to get into film (CHEAP PLUG AK47FILMS.COM) however at the
young ripe age of 13 he became a huge fan of talk radio shows Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez. Listening everyday
Jon mimicked much of what he had heard on-air to fellow classmates making him
very popular with many people for his sense of humor. As Jon continued down his
path of schooling he ended up at Katherine Gibbs School in NYC where he was in a film program.
On an odd chance he was required to get an internship to graduate and even
though he was a film major he decided to take a risk by applying as an intern
for the Opie & Anthony Show. Luckily Jon was
accepted in January of 2006 and began his tenure for the show at XM Satellite
Radio. While he wasn’t able to provide much in audio based work, he did know
film and video production and shortly became the camera-man for the show.
Having been on hand for many of the major bits of 2006 his videos have been
featured on OpieandAnthony.com, FoundryMusic.com, Break.com, GorillaMask.net
and Youtube.com. Also while working for XM Satellite Radio during the 2006 year
O&A began on CBS Radio FreeFM in NY and with them
Jon followed. Jon also became an unofficial intern for the Ron & Fez show
on XM and while not a major character of sorts has been involved with several
show bits. The nickname Former Child Star was given to him on an episode of Opie & Anthony by comedian Bill Burr during an intern
egg eating contest, Bill felt that Jon looked like a kid from the show “Silver
Spoons”. Having gotten his degree in film in May 2006, Jon has decided to
attend NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) and go for his bachelors in
radio broadcasting. In November 2006 Jon joined Live995 in NY as an On-Air
personality.

Following The first show Jon began searching for a co-host to help
take all the weight of doing a show alone off him, taking many sit in’s to test who has the best chemistry and who might be
the permanent sidekick.
